Account & data

Contacts, notifications, two-factor sign-in and your data.

Managing Contacts

  1. View your contacts

Go to Contacts to see everyone who has interacted with your automations.

  2. Search and filter

Use the search bar to find contacts by name or username.

  3. View contact details

Click on a contact to see their full interaction history and DM timeline.

  4. Export data

Use the export option to download your contact list as CSV.

Reading Your Notifications

  1. Open the bell

Click the bell icon in the top bar for recent alerts.

  2. See everything

Go to Notifications from the sidebar for the full history.

  3. Know what triggers one

Automation failures, quota warnings, connection problems and billing events.

  4. Act from the alert

Most notifications link straight to the thing that needs attention.

Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Open Security

Go to Security in the sidebar. It shows whether two-factor is already on.

  2. Scan the QR code

Use any authenticator app — Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy. If you cannot scan, type the key shown underneath.

  3. Enter a 6-digit code

This proves the app is set up correctly. Codes change every 30 seconds, so use the current one.

  4. Save your backup codes

Ten single-use codes, shown once. Keep them somewhere other than your phone — they are how you get back in if you lose it.

Questions

I lost my phone — how do I get back in?

Use one of the ten backup codes shown when you set two-factor up. Each works once, in the same box as a normal code. If those are gone too, email support from the address on your account and we will verify you and reset it manually.

Is my data secure?

Yes. DMChat uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), securely stores OAuth tokens, and never stores Instagram passwords. We follow Meta's data handling guidelines and only access the permissions you explicitly grant.
