comparing the two?

The LinkDM alternative for creators who want the lead, not just the link

LinkDM and DMChat agree on the important thing: a flat monthly DM cap beats per-contact billing. At the entry tier DMChat now gives more DMs for less money — 30,000 for $15 against 25,000 for $19 — plus lead capture inside the conversation. LinkDM still goes far higher than we do if you need it to.

Where LinkDM is better than us

If one of these matters to you, stay where you are. We would rather you keep a tool that fits than churn out of ours in a month.

  • A far higher ceiling. LinkDM Platinum+ reaches 300,000 DMs a month at $99. Our top purchasable plan stops at 30,000, and Scale is not open yet — above that volume they are the only real option of the two.
  • A larger installed base — around 25,000 creators — and the trust that comes with it.

What LinkDM users bring up most

Comment auto-reply, branding removal and integrations all sitting behind the paid tier.

Analytics that stop at a delivery count.

The free plan feeling stripped back over time.

We have not invented any of these and we are not claiming they are universal — plenty of people are happy with LinkDM. They are the themes that come up often enough to be worth naming.

Moving over from LinkDM

  1. Connect Instagram

Official Meta login. We never see your password, and nothing about your existing setup changes.

  2. Rebuild your LinkDM flows

Pick a preset, or send us a screenshot of your LinkDM flow and we will rebuild it in your account by hand — free, for the first 100 people who ask.

  3. Turn the old one off

Switch your LinkDM automation off once a DM has landed from ours. Running both means the same person gets two DMs, which looks exactly as automated as it is.

Send us a screenshot. We will rebuild it for you.

Not a support ticket and not a sales call — you send a picture of the flow you have in LinkDM, and we set the same thing up inside your DMChat account. Free, done by hand, for the first 100 people who take us up on it.

so, which one

Both answers are real

Stay on LinkDM if…

  • You send more than 30,000 DMs a month — past our top open plan, they still have three tiers above.
  • You want the largest installed base in this niche — around 25,000 creators — behind the tool you pick.
  • Link delivery is all you need and lead capture is not part of your funnel.

Move to DMChat if…

  • You want the email or phone number captured inside the DM, not on a landing page.
  • You want a free plan that includes comment replies rather than reserving them for paid.
  • You want to know why a send failed, not just how many went out.

The questions we get asked

At the entry tier, yes, on both axes: LinkDM Pro is $19/mo for 25,000 DMs, DMChat Pro is $15/mo for 30,000 — $0.50 per thousand against their $0.76. That was not true a version ago and we said so then. Where they still win is the top end: their $99 tier carries 300,000 DMs and we do not sell anything at that volume yet, so above roughly 30,000 a month the economics go back to them.

Ask for an email, phone number or anything else inside the DM conversation and store it as a lead — no landing page, no drop-off. Verify a follow through Instagram for real before unlocking a link. Show you which sends failed and why. Send an automated follow-up inside the 24-hour window Meta allows.

You can, but there is little reason to. Two tools replying to the same comment section means duplicate DMs to the same person, which is a fast way to look automated. Pick one per account.

Try it on one keyword before you move anything

Keep LinkDM running. Set up a single automation here, watch one DM land, and decide after that. 1,000 DMs a month is free forever — Pro is $9/mo locked for the first 99 creators.
